Mary Harwell Sayler – Bio

Mary Harwell Sayler has placed 30 traditionally published books with Christian and educational publishers and over 2,000 nonfiction articles, Bible stories, devotionals, children’s stories, and poems for print journals, anthologies, blogs, and e-zines.

In 2012, the environmental publisher, Hiraeth Press, published her first poetry book, Living in the Nature Poem and in 2014 released an e-book version. Also in 2014 Kelsay Books published Mary’s Bible-based poetry, Outside Eden and her book of nature poems for children, Beach Songs & Wood Chimes. On March 30, 2017, Cladach Publishing released her book of contemporary psalms and free verse, PRAISE! Later this year, Finishing Line Press plans to publish her chapbook, WE: the people under God.

After working with other poets and writers for many years through critiques, study courses, and blog resources, Mary published 3 Kindle e-books for poets and writers: the Christian Writer’s Guide e-book, Christian Poet’s Guide to Writing Poetry, and what might be the first ever Poetry Dictionary For Children and For Fun – an A to Z guide to poetry forms and techniques for classrooms and creative kids of all ages.
