Repairs in Lent prepare for Easter

Dante and We

stumble on hot stones
brimming with lava,
tiptoe over ash
reeling,
rewind ourselves to
awaken
in the middle
of a dark forest
stunned
by murky remembrances,
ready
to chop wood.
